Data is
Beautiful
DATA VISUALISATION | INFOGRAPHICS
Type: Individual
Data is Ubiquitous, it's around us and always has been. It is only when I started arranging data that I see or experience on a daily basis that I realised that making sense of it can be beautiful.
Following is a collection of 'Data arrangement' that I've done in order to make sense of stray data.
SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK, NOT
I've often bragged about my ability to function on minimal sleep, many times not realising what a bad shape my sleep schedule was in; until I was challenged by an acquaintance to track my sleep schedule for a month. The idea of tracking my sleep was laughable at first, however when I looked at the visualisation of my sleep schedule for the past month, it did call me out. Happy to say that I'm on my way to a balanced sleep, work and play lifestyle.
TRACKING HAPPINESS
2020 was hard, more so was 2021 when I moved to college, where interaction with the outside world was abruptly cut off and I got swamped by work, exciting phase of my life nevertheless. Being an optimistic person is a full time role, and no-one is happy all the time, that's what we 'fancy'. I decided to track my personal moods each day of 2021 to look back on it someday and pat my back for making it through.

MAPPING
DOMESTIC CONNECTIONS
This exercise was a warm up to visualising data. Talking about one's extended family, close friends and connections and their whereabouts can be a long and complex conversation. Here I have tried to represent the same data in a concise format.
TELL ME
ABOUT YOUR FAMILY
I have represented the whole conversation that would occur if I am asked to speak about my family, the maternal side, the paternal side and each generation's history through this chart. The events correspond with parallelly occurring events in India's History.
MAPPING METHODS OF CONTRACEPTION
Population explosion is India is not a fairly new topic to cover, how we can retard it could be. Which is why for making an infographic I chose to map all the contraceptive methods developed by the human race thus far.
